Got community equipment you no longer need?
entity[“company”,”Medequip”,”community equipment services”] provides Somerset’s Community Equipment and Wheelchair Service, helping people live safely and independently in their own homes.
The equipment is provided free of charge at the point of delivery, but when it is no longer needed, it is important that it is returned.
Why return it?
That walking frame, wheelchair, shower chair or other piece of equipment could make a huge difference to someone else who is currently waiting for support.
Returned equipment can be:
🔄 Cleaned
♻️ Recycled
❤️ Reused
Unfortunately, some equipment across Somerset is being kept when it is no longer needed or is even being offered for sale online. The equipment remains the property of the local authority and should be returned when it is no longer required.
So, if you have equipment sitting unused…
Please return it.
By returning equipment you no longer need, you are helping someone else get the support they need, while reducing waste and making the most of valuable community resources.
Return. Recycle. Reuse.
A simple action that can make a real difference to someone in our community.
If you have community equipment that is no longer needed, please arrange for it to be returned through the appropriate Medequip service.
